A ME-Birthday

It was a different kind of birthday. No hustle and bustle, last minute grocery shopping or last minute clean up. It was quite quiet actually.

Call it a bit selfish but I like the me-time for a change. My brother was at work. And Shirl has her weekend racket. I was left all by myself for a day at home. And it was my birthday!

It might sound lonely but it was not. I had a grand time - still doing some clean up (I am not a slob, afterall) but "listening" to Han Deuk-gu with speakers on. Iba pala ang dating. In between sweeping the floor and washing the dishes, I did some texting to friends na di nakalimot and answered calls from home.

I watched my favorite scene in Millionaire's First Love (the one he gave her a bottle of capsules with tons of messages on her birthday) and fave episodes of my favorite series that starred my ultimate oppa (ambisyosa!) while eating kalguksu cooked in a clay pot. I gotta be authentic here - with the metal chops and long spoon, pa. I was really in chilling out mode- kahit sobrang init sa labas. Well, that was really the reason I didn't go out.

Of course, when the sun set, it was a different story altogether. Besty and I met in mega and --- went to a food fair! Bwahahaha...ang daming handa! I got my Kaya spread and Shirl's got her herbed cream cheese. Oh my, I can stuff myself with Kaya for the whole week (I got so addicted with Kaya- and I don't know why).

It was a very happy me-birthday for me. I got to do what I wanted to do for so long (err, picking out among the many cds with Bin on it was a difficult task), eat what I really wanted to eat since I laid eyes on it (something from Bizu! courtesy of besty) and receive something that I really need (something ala-Amazing Race necessity) for that regular vacays.

Big thanks to my family who called from home and my bro from the land of merlion. Many thanks to Besty for the gifts and the cake and the macarons.

Salamaters to friends who always make me feel special on Love's Day...those who left a message or two in fb and multiply. euclid94 in our Y!group, sistahs in butuan, cousins, wng...everyone.

sa mga nakalimot...there is always next year. hehehe

Cheers. Spread the love.
