Kailan, Ilan?

Last night, besty and I were switching between the replay of American Idol on QTv and special of Top Chef on 2nd Ave.

It was great to see our favorite contestants from the first two seasons with the judges again. I admit, Harold Dieterle is the top among the winners of the 3 seasons. Everyone can be a cook, but not every one can be a chef. There is that leadership quality...the reason why the word chef was derived from chef de cuisine - head or chief of the kitchen. Harold has that aura. And he is such a great guy, not palaaway.

With a hangover from last night's show, I searched Facebook for Sam (Talbot) of Season 2. He is good, and cute (to boot) but the last challenge did it for him. Aargh, I think almost everyone thought he nailed the title during that final four but Ilan and Marcel gave him a run for the title.

Then, I found Ilan. There were lots of Ilan listed but somehow the profile photo has this pull saying, "I'm the real Ilan that won Top Chef!" In short, I invited him to be my friend and even sent a message. I wasn't expecting a reply since he might be so used of receiving messages all over due to him winning Season 2 but guess what....? He did reply and informed me that he's coming to Pinas for some event. Wow! I have to block that TBA date (sometime in March daw). Of course, sinabayan ko na ng benta ang Pilipinas telling him it's indeed a great place. He got thousands of islands to explore.

Let us see if I do get to see Ilan this March.
